Exciting news about two new projects involving the Edgertons:
“Untitled Lucky Project:” After the success of “The Square,” Nash and Joel are teaming up again to produce a new feature film based on Nash’s 2005 multi-award-winning short film, “Lucky.” The brothers have written the screenplay, and will presumably also be directing and acting in the new film. Although untitled as yet, Nash describes it as set in “the world and style” of “Lucky,” a “sort of action [film] crossed with crime, horror, a love story.” If you’ve seen “Lucky,” you’ll know that it features a guy (Nash) who finds himself in a very bad predicament. Perhaps the new film will tell us how he got to that point. Perhaps not. We shall see.
“Felony:” Joel will also be starring in a new film that he has written called “Felony” which has been described as follows: “Driving home after a celebration drink with his team after the long-awaited bust of a major gang, a decorated police officer (Edgerton) runs a young cyclist off the road. As he gives CPR to the child, fellow officers arrive to take his statement. In a split second decision he tells them a lie about the accident which will change all their lives in this edge of your seat thriller.”
Extra Bonus News: Frank Grillo (Brendan’s coach) has just joined Joel and Nash in the cast of Kathryn Bigelow’s Osama bin Laden movie, “Zero Dark Thirty.” Now all they need is Tommy to rip up some tanks, and they’re all set.
Someone asked me if I knew of a larger version of the profile photo on Joel’s IMDB page. Here you go…
